April Fools

Just a quick feature highlighting some of the April Fools' Day pranks and stories attempted by the broadcasting media. The Guardian seems to have been propagating the myth of the half-shark half-whale as their offering, while the Belfast Telegraph has been claiming that the Westlink is being made into a one-way system to cope with rush hour traffic. Particularly funny to read the comments from people who thought it was serious!

My favourite, though, is from Belfast Gonzo writing on Slugger O'Toole. He exclusively revealed the new iPhone application, the Ulster Fry, which purportedly uses the phone's battery to generate microwaves to heat up a cup of tea or a carryout. Truly, Gonzo was on fire as he cooked up a hot story!
